Search for motorcyclist after child injured at Lisarow

Inquiries are continuing to locate a motorcyclist after a child was seriously injured at Lisarow this afternoon (Sunday 21 June 2015).

About 2.15pm emergency services were called to Parsons Road near the intersection of the Pacific Highway after reports a pedestrian had been hit by a motorcycle.

When they arrived police and Ambulance Paramedics found a 12-year-old boy with serious head injuries.

The motorcyclist stopped briefly after the crash before riding off.

Inquiries are underway to locate the rider.

After being assessed on site by Ambulance Paramedics, the child has been airlifted to hospital. His current condition is unknown.

Local diversions are in place around the crash site.
