Woman charged as investigations continue into alleged attempted murder at Mount Druitt

Police have charged a woman over her involvement in an alleged attempted murder in Sydney’s west earlier this year.

About 10.45pm on Tuesday 17 March 2015, a 26-year-old man was allegedly shot in the neck at Mount Druitt.

The man underwent immediate surgery to his injured spine, lung and spleen.

Detectives from Mount Druitt Local Area Command formed Strike Force Brice to investigate the incident.

On Friday 24 April 2015, a 29-year-old man was arrested in Queensland. He is currently before the courts charged with shoot with intent to murder and shoot with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

As part of ongoing investigations, detectives arrested a 27-year-old woman at a home in Colyton yesterday (Saturday 20 June 2015).

She was taken to Mount Druitt Police Station and charged with conceal serious indictable offence and goods in custody.

She has been granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Mount Druitt Local Court on Thursday 2 July 2015.

Investigations are continuing.
