This fun, local artisan officially Markets at the Rectory came about after Raymond Terrace Bowling Club purchased the Old Rectory at 48 Sturgeon Street, Raymond Terrace.
Market organiser Adam Nicholas told News Of The Area, “The Markets were running down at the Riverside in Raymond Terrace, and now that we are at the Rectory we can start supporting charities”
“Last year was our first year and we managed to raise about $1800.00 for the Riding For Disabled Raymond Terrace.”
This year, the Markets at the Rectory committee have chosen charity the charity Saliability Port Stephens who are located on Medowie Road on the side of Grahamstown Dam.
The Markets are to support local little entrepreneurs in their endeavour to sell the products.
Adam said, “A large percentage of the money raised from stall sites combined with the raffles also goes to the charity as well.”
“The items raffled off are generously donated by the stall holders and placed into a washing basket which is donated from Woolworths Marketplace.”

This year, Markets at the Rectory will be running every second month from 25 February 2018 from 10am till 2pm.
