Despite a busy schedule getting gifts ready for boys and girls, Santa will be attending the Little Pantry Café in Medowie.

On Saturday 7 and 8 December, Santa will be available for the seventh year in a row.

Santa is sponsored by Williamtown Rotary and comes in the form of Mr Rod ‘Santa’ Starr, a semi-retired veterinarian who has lived in Port Stephens for 35 years.

He has been involved in many community organisations, and since selling his practice has enjoyed being Santa in Medowie for the last 7 years.

Rotary put on Santa as an option for Medowie children, and their pets, to have affordable photos taken with an authentic Santa.

All funds raised support Rotary in their community service endeavours.

Ms Judith McGowan from Williamtown Rotary told News Of The Area, “Over the years we have watched babies grow up and have many repeat visitors.”

“We will also be attending the Cerebral Palsy Christmas Party as a special visitor for a young man who has been having his photo taken with us each year.”

“We love having animals come along with their human families, and we try to take whatever time is necessary to catch the best photo we can.”

The photographer is Medowie local, teacher, and Rotarian, Aaron McGowan who volunteers his time each year photographing, editing, and emailing the photos.
