The theme of this year’s high tea was ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’, and the crowd was at capacity of 150 people.
The Girl Guide leaders and families supported the event by donating food and drink, and gathering prizes.

The girls from the brigade, aged five to 17, serve each year as waitresses to the guests at the High Tea, and by all reports from the day they did a wonderful job.

Libby Keeley from Medowie Girl Guides told News Of The Area, “The event was yet again a wonderful success.”

“We had guests that have been there every year, and also a number of first timers.”

“We would love to thank the local businesses who support the event with donations towards our prizes, and the leaders and families for their massive efforts,” she said.

The waitresses for the day also organised and ran a gift shop at the High Tea.

They sold jewellery, scarves, candles, engraved wine glasses, flowers and more.

The Medowie Girl Guides meet on Monday night at 6pm at the Medowie Community Hall.
Girls aged five to 17, as well as new leaders, are always welcome.
Any questions can be directed to Libby at Medowie Girl Guides on 0400157 911.

Medowie Girl Guides sends their thanks and appreciation to the volunteers, families, friends, local businesses and the community that help them to be able to continue to run this fantastic service for young girls in our community.
