They still have shifts available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, where your time would be greatly appreciated.

Vinnies Medowie staff are delighted with one special volunteer who has joined their ranks, George Lewis.

George is a regular volunteer on a Wednesday; he has many varied tasks including sorting out clothing, pricing items and hanging them ready to be steamed, writing out labels, displaying items in the store and making up the pricing tickets.

Heather and the other volunteers love his warm, wonderful smile and attitude to life.

He comes to Vinnies with a enthusiastic willingness to learn and gain life skills, accompanied by Megan Power, his support worker from Disability Services Australia.

The Medowie Vinnies store has been generously blessed with donated items including clothing, shoes, manchester, books, CDs, toys and household bric a brac.

Through the sale of these items, St Vincent de Paul is able to give back to the Medowie community.

Heather Poole told News Of The Area, “We’ve had great feedback, with comments such as it always a pleasure to come in and browse and be greeted with a warm friendly smile.”
