“The Organisation’s President Allan Wilson is retiring and other core members of the executive committee are unable to continue in their current positions,” Liz Swane told News Of The Area.

The Myall Coast Entertainers Group was established back in 1999, Heather Miller, a foundation member, is still part of the troupe.

Over the years they entertained the local community with musicals, skits, melodramas, plays and variety shows.
The group also added their talents to renovating and repairing the Hawks Nest Community Hall.

The Myall Coast Entertainers also performed at the inaugural Grey and Thespian Mardi Gras in 2016.

Liz Swane is hopeful this is only a period of hibernation.

“Myall Coast Entertainers are hopeful and confident that, with an influx of new people showing interest and stepping up to become part of this valuable organisation, the show will go on.”

Any members of the community who feel that they might be able to offer their services in any capacity are urged to come along to the group’s Annual General Meeting being held on Monday 14 August at 7pm in the Uniting Church Hall on Myall Street at Tea Gardens.
