
Myall Coast Little Athletics Centre has good reason to celebrate with 11 young athletes heading to Regionals early next month.
“Fourteen athletes went to the Port Hunter Zone competition late last year and much fun was had over a very long and busy weekend,” Little Athletics Secretary Melisa Brown said.

‘’From the 14 athletes, we have 11 going off to Regionals at Glendale competing for our centre and our Zone in Region Two.”
“Region Two is made up of the top three athletes from each of the four Zones, Port Hunter, Hunter, Lake Macquarie and Central Coast.’’
“Between the 11 athletes they qualified for 26 events,” Melisa told News Of The Area.
“Sam Alchin U8- Shot Put, Discus and 70m Sprint, Corey Cunningham U9- Long Jump, and 70m sprint, Logue White U9- Discus, Gemma Brown U10- 1500m, Long Jump, High Jump and 800m, Tyler Rodgers U10- Long Jump, 60m Hurdles and 400m, Lenita White U10- Discus, Sophie Frazer U12- Shot Put, Lilly-Ann White U12- 1500m, Long Jump, Triple Jump and 800m, Aaliyah Paulson-Ruprecht U13- Discus & Javelin, Kasey Brown U15- High Jump, Triple Jump and Long Jump and Jade Hunter U17- 400m & 3000m.’’
The Regionals Competition is being held at Glendale over the weekend of February 11 and 12.
