Rhonda Jurd, President of the Myall River VIEW Club, said that Cheryl was chosen for the Making A Difference award for a number of reasons.

“In 2018, when the Myall River VIEW Club nearly closed for a lack of committee members, Cheryl stood up and took on President Secretary and Publicity Officer with great enthusiasm and professionalism.”

“In the following 18 months, under Cheryl’s leadership, our VIEW Club has expanded its membership and introduced like-minded women who care and are willing to fundraise for worthy causes such as The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program, and she also donates her time as a representative of VIEW to the breakfast club at Tea Gardens Public School,” she continued.

Cheryl Milburn said that winning the award was a pleasant surprise.

“It’s nice to know that my peers thought of me and wanted to recognise the work I have put in for the Club.”

“I did it for my Club and the disadvantaged children of Australia that VIEW and The Smith Family help to support by enabling them to have an education to help shape their future prospects,” she said.
