The feel of these markets is definitely community, there’s jams and preserves, plants and some quirky handmade goods as well as T-shirts, and clothes on offer too. Stall holder Jan Dickson was visiting friends and family while showcasing her handmade bird feeders which are made from recycled homewares. Local market stall holder Louis Varkoly of Gabriel’s Candles told News Of The Area, “These are great grounds for a market and there is plenty of parking.” Gabriel’s make their own candles locally and also sell a range of salt lamps and wax melts, they are at most of the Bay markets, including Fly Point and Tomaree Sports Fields. You may also spy Judi Walker at the Anna Bay Markets and other events around town, Judi is highly praised for the quality of the face painting which she does and the range of styles on offer. Locals love a good market and coming up on the radar for the Bay is the Legacy Market at Fly Point on the third Sunday of the month and the markets at Tomaree Sports field on the fourth Sunday.
