Here is your own new and modern news media source exclusively relevant for the Tomaree Peninsula of Port Stephens.

Bay News Of The Area is launching its first edition on this day, publication dated Thursday 6 October 2016.

The independent (Modern Media) company is proudly Port Stephens local and family owned.

The company has been publishing the Myall Coast News Of The Area (Myall Coast NOTA) for almost three years, which has been serving the Karuah, Tea Gardens and Bulahdelah communities very well.

Tea Gardens’ Ann Scully, one of the founding members, was instrumental in its launch and success.

Another publication, Medowie News Of The Area, was conceived earlier this year which is now an integral part of the Medowie, Salt Ash and Williamtown communities.

In an age where newspapers are struggling, News Of The Area believes there is one real key to the future of media:

‘Get Modern! And Get Local!’

Your new Bay News Of The Area will report only things relevant to the Bay area in which you live.

The paper will be bulk distributed and available throughout the area.

We will publish a list in these initial editions.

This Modern Media voice will be working hard for the community on three levels: In Print; Within the Social Media news; Online with our News media website: NewsOfTheArea.com.au

We may not always be perfect. But, we are passionate, proud and positive about the Bay at Port Stephens.

The Printed Publication and the Social Media news (already in action) is heavily “hyper-local”, whilst the website will connect the area to the outside world ensuring our local voice is heard on a bigger scale.

This means, as a media company, we will ensure the Bay’s voice is heard well outside our backyard.

For some time, advertising within print media has been way too expense and quickly becoming out-of-reach for the local business owner.
