“When the weather’s hot, Library activities offer a cool space to chill out, and when it’s wet outside, there’s indoor activities to keep everyone occupied,” says Council’s Library Events Officer, Danielle Donnelly.

Kicking off in January, there’s a range of activities to suit almost every taste if you’re a primary school student.

Starting with special activities including Twilight Storytime, Science on the Move, Creative Painting and the Crazy Daisy Magic Show and Pirate Party, you’ll be kept busy.

And for busy hands and creative types, there’s Scratch Art, Bunnings DIY workshop, Drama Workshops and Kite Making on offer.

Add to that movie screenings, and games sessions including puzzles, colouring in, virtual reality experience, Kids Bingo, Board Games Elimination and Indoor Relays, and there’s no time for “I’m bored” these holidays!

And don’t forget to book in for the Summer Reading Club – there’s a goodies bag and great prizes for completing your reading log! You can read anywhere!

Most activities are free and bookings are required – check out the full program at midcoastlibraries.com.au.
