The two-state title events will form the Port Stephens Surf Festival and decide the NSW Teams for the upcoming Australian SUP Titles and the Australian Longboard Titles.

Over 200 competitors are expected to compete in the six-day event, which will see longboards run from the 20th – 22nd and the SUP’s follow from the 22nd – 25th.

Mayor Ryan Palmer says Port Stephens is ready for the return of the NSW SUP Titles and NSW Longboard Titles when the NSW Government says it’s safe to do so.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming back the Port Stephens Surf Festival as soon as it’s safe to do so. The beaches are looking incredible, the bays are pristine and we’re ready to host this fantastic event as soon as the time is right.”

Surfing NSW CEO Luke Madden says Port Stephens is the perfect location to host an event that encompasses not only surfing but also paddling.

“Port Stephens is an idyllic region and is perfectly suited to the state’s best longboarders and stand up paddlers,” he said.

“We expect to see over 200 competitors partaking in the event over both disciplines in what is sure to be a spectacular display of wave riding and ocean paddling.”

The competition will commence each day at 7:30 am with the call for the day’s schedule and location confirmed via the event hotline at 6:45 am. The event hotline is 0458 247 212.

The Port Stephens Surf Festival is proudly supported by Port Stephens Council, Middle Rock Holiday Resort, Australian Skin Cancer Clinics, Mothernest and Surfing NSW.
