Police appeal for witnesses after fatal stabbing on the state’s Central Coast

Police continue to appeal for information following a fatal stabbing at Toukley, on the state’s Central Coast this morning.

About 12.10am (Monday 6 April 2015), officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command were called to a licensed premises on Main Road after reports of a stabbing.

Officers arrived to find two men, aged 25 and 28, who’d both sustained stab wounds during an alleged altercation with four other patrons.

Both men were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, before the older man went into cardiac arrest.

The pair was taken to Gosford Hospital, where the older man later died. The younger man remains in a serious condition and is expected to undergo surgery.

A crime scene was established at the club, which is being examined by detectives and forensic specialists.

A 20-year-old man, together with a number of other witnesses, have spoken to police; however police believe there are still a number of witnesses who have not yet come forward.
