This trip will see Alicia and other passionate business women help the women of Senegal rise above poverty.

Alicia applied to participate knowing that she would meet amazing people and have to push herself outside her comfort zone.

Alicia told News Of The Area, “I was so excited when they called to say I was accepted.”

“I knew it was going to be hard work to raise the $10,000 in donations; these funds all go to the Hunger Project,” she said.

“I pay my own way, so every cent raised will be making a real difference.”

There will be 20 inspiring women on the trip and all of us will be working hard to support the work of the Hunger Project.

A global not-for0-profit organisation, The Hunger Project believes that the hungry themselves are the resource in ending hunger and poverty.

They build leaders, in particular, female leaders.

Alicia will be conducting a range of fund raising activities to reach her goal of $10,000 for the women of Senegal.

Alicia will be selling wine packages with the help of First Creek Winery, holding an event at Little Beach Boathouse Bar on 22 September offering some mentoring sessions.

The fundraising deadline is 15 December.

All funds raised for the The Hunger Project are tax deductible and will go to assist women in the developing nation of Senegal.
