The meeting, on Thursday 20 July, is being hosted by the Hawks Nest Tea Gardens Progress Association.

“Adrian Thompson, owner of the Ferry Service, has very kindly agreed to address members of our community on the operation of the service and will be taking questions from the audience,” Progress Association Secretary, Patricia Garrard said.

“Mr Thompson will be accompanied by his advisor, Malcolm Anderson and his manager, Tony Platt,” Patricia told News Of The Area.

“This should be an interesting evening and we are sure a number of people will be keen to hear from Adrian and take the opportunity to ask questions as well.”

Reliability and timetable concerns are a just a couple of concerns that are sure to be on the agenda.

Adrian Thompson’s Port Stephens Ferries is now the only service operating between Tea Gardens and Nelson Bay.

“We are expecting this will attract a large number of people so we’ve booked the Hawks Nest Community Hall for the event,” Patricia said.

“We encourage you to attend and bring your friends.”

The meeting kicks off at 6pm, on Thursday 20 July in the Hawks Nest Community Hall on Booner Street.
