QUEEN’S Kitchen Restaurant has officially opened at Tea Gardens Country Club offering diners a wide choice of Modern Italian cuisine.

The business is operated by husband and wife team Steven and Justine Jones who bring over 25 years’ of experience in the foodservice industry to their new culinary venture.

During his career, Steven has worked in a number of Michelin Star Restaurants and has catered for an impressive list of celebrities and events including the Queen Mother’s 100th Birthday, Wimbledon, Lord’s, Sting, Madonna and the Melbourne Cup to name a few.

Justine told News Of The Area the restaurant name was decided after Steven catered for the Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations in the United Kingdom.

In addition to the restaurant, Justine said Queen’s Kitchen also offers a catering service.

“We cater for events such as weddings, memorials and christenings, every event imaginable,” she said.

“We have been catering for the last year at South Newcastle League’s Club in Merewether for their functions and events.”

Justine said when they found out there was a vacancy at Tea Gardens Country Club, they “didn’t hesitate to take it up.”

“After visiting Tea Gardens, we realised what a great place it is,” she said.

“It was destiny slapping us in the face, we moved in straight away.”

Justine said their tiring 70 kilometre commute to work each day is now replaced with a pleasant 700 metres walk.

The restaurant has undergone a transformation and now features a new layout and furniture creating a sleek modern atmosphere.

There are already plans in place for expansion to the business with a buffet breakfast soon to be added.

The couple have been very pleased with the support they have received from the community.

“So far, the Country Club and locals have been very supportive of us, we’ve been very busy since we’ve opened,” Justine told News Of The Area.

Steven and Justine will be supported by a dedicated, talented & hardworking team.

Queen’s Kitchen is open for lunch and dinner with daily lunchtime specials on offer.
