Jupiter, which was designed specifically for Port Stephens youth aged 12 – 18 offers a free counselling service.

In order to keep the service free, Jupiter needs the help of local businesses and community.

Geoffrey Basser Vice President of COPSY the overseeing board of Jupiter told News Of The Area, “We are so honoured that the Rick Stein Restaurant at Bannisters, Port Stephens have gone out of their way to be proud supporters of Jupiter.”

The Gala Event will take place at Bannisters Port Stephens on June 27 and comprises of a four course lunch of Rick Stein inspired food including matching wines with every course.

“The unbelievable support that Bannisters is giving to Jupiter, sees the cost for each guest being $145.00 with $100.00 donation to COPSY; this will be the only fundraising during the event,” he said.

Guests will enjoy meeting Executive Chef Mitch Turner who will talk them through the Rick Stein philosophy of food, followed by superb entertainment.

Mal Meiers , Executive Chef at Subo Restaurant Newcastle, will also be in the kitchen behind the burners for the lunch.

“The hospitality industry is the place a lot of teens get their first job, and I have been fortunate enough to work with a number of talented young chefs and waiters, so COPSY and its aims are something we love to support as a business.

“Hosting this event would not have been possible without our suppliers; Clean Seas, Produce 365, local Two Bobs Bakery, Tyrells Winery, Brokenwood winery and Mcleish Winery who have generously donated their fabulous produce to help make this lunch possible.” Mitchell Turner – Head Chef and Gemma Turton – functions Manager shared.
