The event saw entries from over 600 riders and horses with the bigger age groups having up to 52 competitors vying for the win.
Abbie Lonsdale, Nathan Lonsdale and Alana Buresti represented Salt Ash Pony Club and Zone 25 successfully in Mounted Games, Campdrafting and Team Penning events.

Abbie Londsale, and her horse Chilli, joined with Gloucester Pony Club members Dannielle Channon on Flint and Katrina Channon riding Green Valley Dalray to contest the under 17 years Team Penning event.

Great teamwork and the lucky draw of a quiet mob of cattle saw the girls take the title of Pony Club NSW Under 17 years State Team Penning Champions.

“We were really excited to win this.” said Abbie.

“We’ve had limited practice with drought conditions making cattle difficult to source causing the cancellation of Team Penning and Campdraft events.”

Abbie also placed 10 th in her Campdraft event.

Nathan Londsale rode his horse Polly in novelty events such as Barrel, Flag and Bending races to place 5 th overall in the Sporting Championship.

Alana Buresti and her horse Dynasty teamed up with Wallsend New Lambton Pony Club members Chloe Shultz riding Gus and Teagan Chester on Dolcivita to claim Reserve Champions in the Under 25’s Team Penning competition, a great effort for the team who had not ridden together before.
