TEA Gardens locals have lent their support to a petition calling for an end to “forced Organ Harvesting” by the Chinese Regime.

More than 200 signatures were gathered by members of the “SOS” car tour during their visit to Tea Gardens and Port Stephens last Friday.

“We realise that most Australians know little about Falun Gong and the tragic situation in China,” said Dr Lucy Zhao, President of the Falun Dafa Association of Australia.

“We hope the Australian government can pass a resolution similar to US House of Representatives and European Parliament urging China to stop organ harvesting and the persecution of Falun Gong.”

An independent investigation of 700 hospitals in China claims that between 60,000 and 100,00 transplants are conducted every year, with non consenting prisoners the primary source of organs.

The SOS tour is in the midst of a pilgrimage to 200 Australian towns.

The Falun Gong supporters are also running a postcard campaign with the simple message “end the persecution.”

They hope to deliver over 20 thousand postcards to the office of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and another 30 thousand to MP’s Australia wide.
