Earlier this morning Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked along with emergency service to Tomaree Headland, reports indicated a 65yr old male was spear fishing and got into difficulties suffering emersion and reportedly was drag from the water onto rocks.

Due to location the helicopters medical team was winched into the area to assist and treat the patient, once stabilised on scene patient was winched out in rescue stretcher then flown to John Hunter Hospital reported in a stable condition.
