Suns teams win titles at Bronwyn Vigors Pacific Challenge

COFFS Harbour Suns teams have won titles at the Coffs Coast’s biggest annual junior basketball carnival.

Three Suns junior representative teams won their divisions at the Bronwyn Vigors Pacific Challenge in Coffs Harbour.

The Suns Under 15 Girls Division 1, Under 13 Boys Division 1, and Under 11 Boys Division 1 teams triumphed at the annual event.

The Suns Under 15 Boys Division 2 and Under 13 Girls Division 2 teams finished runners up.

The event attracted 73 teams from across New South Wales and Queensland, and was hosted by the Bellinger Valley Braves and North Coast Basketball, and held in three locations across Coffs Harbour.

Coffs Harbour Basketball Association congratulated their winning teams and looked forward to the representative year ahead.

“Congratulations to our three winning teams – Under 11 Boys Division 1, Under 13 Boys Division 1 and Under 15 Girls Division 1.

“Also congratulations to our two runners up – Under 13 Girls Division 2, and Under 15 Boys Division 2.

“To all our teams, we are proud of your efforts and know you worked extremely hard, we know it will assist with your season ahead having faced tough competition and will give your coaches future planning ideas for your development.

“Thank you to all our wonderful referees who committed for the weekend and those who did extra when needed, you were all fantastic,” an Association spokesperson told NOTA.

“Thank you to all our coaches and managers for your effort with your teams.

“So great to see other teams cheering each other on from the sidelines too.

“Enjoy your break, Suns family, and we look forward to seeing you all back on court in 2024.”
