Gibba to Gibba which was held on the following weekend of the 20-22nd May saw in excess of 75 registered fisho’s from Buladelah, Hawks Nest and Tea Gardens Fishing Clubs spread within the boundary of the Surf Club in the south and the Big Gibba Head Land in the North endeavouting to catch fish so their respective clun could amass sufficient points to take the Gibba to Gibba Shield that Tea Gardens Fishing Club has held for the last 2 years.

Thank you to the oustanding efforts of Thomas Evans, Bill and Greg Thrift and 7 others of Tea Gardens Fishing Club who had sufficient points to reain the sheild for Tea Gardens for the 3rd consecutive year. Thomas had Jewfish, Bream and Tailer, Bill and Greg had much the same except Jewfish.

The weigh in was conducted by the one and only Grant Bidgood from the Buladelah Fishing Club who were the host for this year. Grant went quite pale when Thomas produced his catch of Jewfish and muttered something explicit into his beard about the weather.

The points for the Shield are as follows; Hawks Nest with 43.9 Points, Buladelah with 53.8 points and Tea Gardens with 60.2 points.
