The 32 year old father of three lost his life on 17 October last year, after battling Motor Neurone Disease (MND) for just over two years.

He left behind his beloved wife Tina and their three children Tailor, Jerrome and Meisha.

Tina, her children and family members completed the Hunter Walk to D’Feet MND event this week to honour the man they dearly miss.

The walk was held at Croudace Bay’s Thomas Halton Park, in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association of NSW.

People are encouraged to participate in memory of a loved one who has passed away due to this terrible disease, or to show support for those living with it.

The walk raises much needed money and awareness for research into this disease.

Funds raised also assists the MND Association to be able to support families caring for a loved one suffering with MND and to provide equipment to help with their day-to-day care in order to keep them out of hospital and at home longer.

The 5km walk attracted some large family groups and small groups.

Walking for Brenton on the day were his wife Tina and children Meish, Jerrome and Tailor.

They were joined by Brenton’s mother Tina, his step father John, his sister Casey, and brother Denver.

Family friend, Hayley Elzinga gave News Of The Area this special message for Tina, “I know how proud Brenton would be of Tina and the kids.”
“They have all rallied together to honour his memory and not let him be forgotten.”

“Brenton will live on in our hearts forever.”
