The Golfers took to the field in the theme of the Roaring 20’s and flappers adorned in pink feather boas and beads took to the fairways in the name of charity.

The Gangsters manned the “Party Hole” with cupcakes and champagne for the players.

Christine Walton of the Tomaree Breast Cancer Support Group told News Of The Area, “The ladies were helped along by Nelson Bay Golf Club Members with Hot Shots Graham Allen and Peter Sutton hitting balls across the lake on the 14th for an extra gold coin for the cause, an offer none of the ladies could refuse.”

The Fifth hole was a nearest the pin challenge.

152 players took to the field in what became a fund filled day for the charity.

The Winning team was Ros Kelly, Robyn Hemberg, Julie Partridge and Carol Day.

With the even more hotly contested competition on the day for best dressed team going to Peri Kennedy, Judy Schultz, Fran Guides and Debbie Childs.

The organising committee thanks the outstanding contribution of local businesses and individuals for their community spirit which has supported the organisations work over the years.

All funds raised stay in the Tomaree area supporting local people with breast cancer, if you would like to find out more contact Taurie on 0431 864 778 or Jenny on 0423 602 243.
