THE annual TYCA Skate Comp is back at the Bay on 14 April.

The event attracts locals and serious skaters to the Neil Carroll Park’s – Fly Point Nelson Bay Skate Park each year.
Along with skating competitions there will also be skating demonstrations.

The Rotary Club of Salamander Bay will be there with a BBQ and there will be lots of fun activities from 9am – 3pm.

There are some seriously sick prizes up for grabs for skaters as well as a special trophy.

Linda Cavanagh Secretary of TYCA told News Of The Area, “The event is being held for the third year and is part of the NSW Youth Week celebrations.”

Everyone is welcome on the day and you can try out all sorts of different things including FootGolf with the team from Horizons Golf Resort.

The Port Stephens Youth Advisory Panel will be there running some fun free games as well as the Junior NRL team who will be on hand to teach kids some skills at their Footy Toss event.

There’s a free jumping castle, DJ and some amazing prizes including Moonshadow TQC Cruise tickets, Superstrike passes, Splash Waterpark tickets, Nelson Bay Cinema movie passes, STEAM Education Coding & Robotics Holiday workshop tickets, gift vouchers, skate decks and loads more.

Attending the TYCA event is a great way for Port Stephens youth to find activities and groups that are fun and youth driven.
