Karuah Bluegrass Festival set to entertain

Don’t miss the opening moments of the festival tomorrow, Friday 6 May, beginning with the Lost Highway Talent Quest at 2pm.

All ages and levels welcome, the winner will be given the chance to perform a 15 minute show on the Dolphin Stage on Sunday, and receive a free double pass to next year’s festival.

The Welcome to Country will open official proceedings at 5.45, then Mike Martin and the Lost Highway String Band will lead the bush dance in the Picker’s Paradise.

The Flamingo Bar sponsored by Murray’s Brewing Co will be serving beer and cider on tap, plus select red and white wines.

Picket Fence Produce will be serving delicious homestyle meals in the Picker’s Paradise, and the entertainment will continue through until midnight finishing with his rousing brand of alt-country folk music.

Pre-sale tickets for Friday night only start at $16 and are cheaper for concession and children.

Soak up the festival atmosphere in a 30 metre wide big top tent provided by Circus Avalon and proudly sponsored by Hunter Quarries.

Saturday night will see the Big Top in full multi entertainment mode when Soulfire Circus performs a show specially created for the Lost Highway festival, featuring young Worimi acrobats from the Karuah Mission.

The show will be performed with live music provided by Gleny Rae Virus and friends.
