When Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie recently met with locals in Bulahdelah, he noticed the Australian Flag looking a bit worse for wear.
Club President John Hooper said the flag which was beginning to tear and fade was in need of replacing and had certainly seen better days.
“I was only too happy to arrange a new flag for the club,” Dr Gillespie said.
“Bulahdelah Golf Club hosts plenty of local events and ceremonies and I think it is important the members can fly the Australian Flag with pride,” he said.
Federal Members of Parliament are able to provide Australian Flags to schools and non-profit organisations in their electorates.
