ALTHOUGH one door closed, another is set to open for the local community, after contracts for a Bendigo Bank Agency in Bulahdelah were signed last week.

A full range of banking services will be available through the agency once opened, and will be operated by Judy Dixon.
The town has been without a financial institution since the Holiday Coast Credit Union closed its Bulahdelah agency in February.
Mrs Dixon told News Of The Area, she is very happy to be able to work with Bendigo Bank to return banking services to the community.
“Bendigo Bank brings banking to remote and regional areas,” she said.
“Once opened, they will come down and explain what they do, and they will also talk to businesses and see what their needs are.”
Bendigo Bank has 540 branches across Australia and supports their communities through partnerships and grants.
Area Manager Kim Rowley and Port Macquarie Branch Manager Kerry Lumby, met in Bulahdelah last week to sign the contracts for the new agency.
Mrs Dixon said the opening date is yet to be determined, but it is expected to be up and running in the near future.
Anyone who would like further information about the new banking service is encouraged to contact Mrs Dixon at the agency, which is located at 88 Stroud Street, Bulahdelah.
