Police appeal for information following armed robbery

ON Sunday 17 July, Police observed three vessels leave the public wharf in Tea Gardens.

Each boat contained five males each who were quite noisy and were attracting the attention of pedestrians.
One vessel attempted to tow a skier from underneath the Singing Bridge.
Water Police from Nelson Bay assisted and attended.
One of the vessels disappeared before they arrived.

The skippers of the other two boats were breath tested where one returned a negative result while the other returned a reading more than 4 times the legal limit.
He was arrested and conveyed to the Police Station for a breath analysis which returned a reading of 0.156.
He was issued with a court notice for operate vessel with high range PCA to appear before Raymond Terrace Local Court.
