FEDERAL Members took time out from Parliament today to raise funds for the 14,000 Australian women and teenagers who are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.Member for Paterson

Bob Baldwin, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry and Mal Brough, Member for Fisher joined Queensland author Kim McCosker’s crusade to raise funds for breast cancer by promoting her heathy eating cook book – 4 ingredients.

Mr Baldwin invited Parliamentarians to a breakfast in his Canberra office where they were shown just how easy the recipes were to cook and given an opportunity to taste the results.

Members of Parliament each bought the books to show their support for the cause.

Mr Baldwin said today’s breakfast was a worthwhile event raising funds for cancer research and support mechanisms for those living or recovering from the disease.

“We all know someone who has been affected by cancer. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85.” Mr Baldwin said.

“Today’s breakfast was the start of a culinary movement for a good cause that I’m urging everyone to take up.”
