Chef Ben Way and Charlie Way of the highly successful Little Beach Boathouse team are about to embark on a new culinary adventure called Medowie Social at the brand new venue.

Councillor Chris Doohan told News Of The Area, “I am so excited to have gotten to this milestone.

“We have worked extremely hard, against all odds to pull this off, and now here we are. “Medowie is about to receive a top notch facility, with equally respected Operators.

“This will give our town a modern family friendly facility that the Sports Clubs, Social Clubs, Community Groups and Individuals can call home, and be damn proud of.

“This will be the envy of many other towns in Port Stephens, so I can’t wait to watch it flourish into the vision many of us have worked so hard to achieve, “ said Doohan who has been a driving force behind the facility from day one.

Port Stephens Mayor Ryan Palmer says it’s an exciting day for Medowie.

“This is fantastic news for the community of Medowie, who have been patiently waiting for us to find the right operator for this incredible facility.

“Ben and Charlie are successful local restaurateurs who understand what our community wants and know how to create a unique experience.

“I’m very confident we’ve found the best people for the job and I can’t wait to visit when it’s open,” Mayor Palmer said.
Executive chef Ben Way, has lived in Port Stephens for over 20 years.

He lives in Medowie with a young family and is looking at creating an affordable and quality venue that caters for young and old alike, where our community feels welcome.

“Fresh is always best, so our menu will feature fresh produce sourced locally wherever possible.

“We also plan to have a strong focus on local sporting groups and creating a friendly environment for celebrations, fundraising and presentations,” said Ben Way.
