URUNGA’S Noela McCabe celebrated her 80th birthday on Monday 14 December.

Noela is a tireless worker for many of Urunga’s clubs including the fishing club and ladies bowling club.

Noela has always been the first to put her hand up to get things done.

Urunga Bowling Club regards Noela so highly that she has recently been awarded a life membership, not something given out lightly, and the members were delighted on hearing the special news.

Urunga Ladies gathered at the OVH Hotel to help Noela celebrate her 80th birthday, filling the dining room to near capacity.

Ladies who have not held a bowl for many years joined us, showing how much Noela is loved.

We wish her many more years as our bowls Social Club Chairperson, and thank her for all her hard work and commitment to the Ladies Bowls.
