The weekend of 13th – 15th May played host to the first social fishing outing for the 2016 – 2017 season for the Hawks Nest Golf Club’s Fishing Club.

What a great start to the season for Jessica Slow, who could have possibly scored the highest ever recorded points for a social weekend outing in the clubs history.
The outright winner for the first outing and also the ladies winner for the social fishing weekend was Jessica Slow, scoring 436 points, catching frigate mackeral, tailor and mulloway.
The ladies runner up for the outing was Michelle Cole who caught some great tailor.
The winner of the junior section was Poppy Rapley who caught an Australian salmon, tailor and flathead.
The mystery fish of a groper was not caught and the mystery fish prize will compound to $10 next outing.

The mens winner for the first social fishing outing was Andrew Sharp who caught frigate mackeral and mulloway.
The mens runner up was Robert Bartlett who caught bream, tailor and luderick.
