MEDOWIE Rural Fire Brigade put on a wonderful day of fun, learning and awareness on Saturday, hosting an open day along with Rural Fire Service brigades all over the state.
Despite an early morning turn of the weather, putting the smooth running of activities in doubt, the sun came out and a wonderful day was had by all.
Activities included a kitchen fire demo, ‘Mighty mike’ fire truck simulation truck for kids, a hose target game, house fire smoke simulator tent, quad bikes, fire truck tours and safety and awareness talks.

Families were also treated to a BBQ, cool drinks and cupcakes.
Brigade members were on hand to talk to residents and children, sharing information and safety tips for the upcoming bush fire season and strengthening community relationships.
Medowie Rural Fire Brigade thank everyone who attended, and made it such a successful day, and encourage anyone with questions about fire safety and preparedness to get in contact.
News Of The Area will be working closely with the Brigade to bring you weekly safety tips and information, to keep you informed and prepared as we enter this dangerous bush fire season.
Thank you Medowie Rural Fire Brigade volunteers for all you do for our community.
