WIRREANDA Fathers were treated to a special breakfast last week at the school.

With a theme of ‘wear your favourite football colours’, the school hall was a sea of colour with lots of kids treating their Dads to a feast.

The event was a wonderful success, and well exceeded the numbers from the last time the breakfast was held at the school two years ago.

Teacher Corynne Darcy told News Of The Area, “It was wonderful to see so many Dads that we don’t always get to see due to work commitments, come into the school and celebrate with their children.”

“It was a very special morning,” Ms Darcy said.

The event was organised by volunteers Karen Schieb and Sue Wilson.

Every Wirreanda Staff member also took part by cooking and serving the breakfast from 8am for an hour, along with the wonderful help of Woolworths Medowie – who sent their of their staff, including the store manager, to help cook the breakfast.

Woolworths Medowie were also on board for the day and supplied all the food, including bacon, eggs, bread rolls, muffins, fruit, tea, coffee and fruit juice.
