A total of eighteen registrations were received with hopefully many more to come at the second round to be held at Tea Gardens Public School on Wednesday 2 September between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

The 2015 season kicks off on Friday the 11th of September at Myall Park Yamba Street Hawks Nest.

President Melisa Brown said, “Myall Coast Little Athletics Centre has been operating for 5 years now with continued support from the local businesses and wider community.”

“We are looking for sponsorship or donations to purchase much needed equipment.”

“Our storage container is in disrepair so we are looking to replace this, cost of a new container is $2800,” said Ms Brown.

“Our High Jump mats are deteriorating rapidly, and can cost up to $7,000.”

“This year we replaced a laptop for the Treasurer with much needed funds coming from the MidCoast Water Community Sponsorship program.”

For the third year in a row, Tea Gardens Country Club are a major sponsor of the Club, generously donating $1500.

“This money will go towards the maintenance of our line marker and ongoing costs of line marking fluid and spray paint over the season,” Ms Brown told Myall Coast News.

“We would just like to acknowledge both MidCoast Water and Tea Gardens Country Club for their valued support,” she said.
