Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Mens Shed thanks supporters

Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Mens Shed recently held a ‘thank you’ Barbeque for those organisations who have assisted the Shed either financially or with the supply of materials in their quest to build anything and everything for groups and individuals in our community.

Secretary Grant Hickey said, “On Wednesday 19 August we got together and had a barbeque and thanked the organisations who make it possible for us to exist and keep our work ongoing.”

“The list of thanks is extensive and we really do appreciate the help we receive from these groups.”

“Lions and Rotary have assisted us in the purchase of major equipment which is all up and running well, Thank You.”

“Tea Gardens Country Club has once more come forward with the paying of our rental cost this is fantastic and we thank them.”

“We would also like to thank Holiday Coast Credit Union who has also donated money and time helping with our accounts.”

The Men’s Shed is a community based non-profit organisation who provide comradery for its members while allowing the expertise of its members to shine through by undertaking jobs for the community.

Two other businesses that have assisted are, Relf and Sons Timber Mill and Nova from Viney Creek Road by supplying timber and materials for the various projects going on.

With a couple of projects with the Progress Association awaiting approval from Council, its full steam ahead for the crew at the Men’s Shed.

Any men looking for an outlet for their work skills and some good company, you are always welcome at The Men’s Shed.
