Apart from the action on the greens, there was plenty of action inside the club with raffles and tombolas, as well as tables overflowing with donated goods to be sold to raise funds. “The Oncology Bowls Day has always been a successful day due to the generosity of our local businesses and community organisations,” Robyn said. “Last year we raised over $6,000.” Calvary Hospital said, “Donations, no matter the financial value are always appreciated by the hospital because they enable us to purchase equipment and help us continue to enhance our provision of comfort and care for the benefit of our patients.” By Margie TIERNEY ONCOLOGY LUNCH: Raising funds for the Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospital.
