Pindimar Bundabah Community Market Day 2014 saw hundreds of people

The Annual Pindimar Bundabah Community Associations  (PBCA) market day was a huge success on Saturday the 1st of November, with an estimated 300 people attending the event held at the Rural Fire Shed in North Pindimar.

Despite the heat that continued to climb as the day wore on, many people enjoyed the community spirit and friendship that has become synonymous with this event.

Attractions included the fantastic sausage sizzle that kept the patrons fed, watered and happy, while others took their time in the peaceful Pindimar surroundings inspecting the many stalls that held a bargain or two for those with a keen eye.

The annual cake bake off was also a major hit, as was the home brew beer judging competition and the ever popular ‘thong throwing ‘competition.

Kids young and old and from all walks of life took to the ‘thong’ like a duck to water and many tried to out do their friends and partners.

Michael Punton took out his particular category with what turned out to be the best throw of the day with a staggering 30.16m achieved.

Leslie Lane of Pindimar took out the ‘Builder Babes’ category with a throw that measured out to 15m on the dot while Helen Bogusz, visiting from Wallsend, took out the ‘She who fluffed’ trophy thong award for her less than gallant effort.

A fun event with many laughs that was made possible with the skill and dedication of Jenny Little of Bundabah who designed the ‘trophy thongs’ and scored the event.

The Pindimar Bundabah Community Association would like to thank all those that attended and for the communities support.

The PBCA Market Day is always held on the 1st Saturday of Nov.
