They recently enjoyed a delicious buffet lunch at Romeo’s atop the Marina Resort in Nelson Bay.

About 50 members attended the very popular BBQ in brilliant sunshine on ANZAC Day and consumed the “Master Chef” steaks and sausages while soaking up the friendly atmosphere which is a hallmark of the Clubs activities.

Ann Gibson told News Of The Area, “It was great to see Robyn & Kenn King back on deck after Robyn’s pesky hip problems which have kept her very quiet.”

The club had a very welcome visitor Abby, who attended along with Mum, Jade & Probus member, Poppy Peter McFadden.

Abby who is a Probien-in-waiting was flitting around helping with carrying tables and chairs and generally being a delight.

“Presidential material, this young girl” she said.

Members also participated in 2 Walks in April and the Probus Inter Club Bowls was played at Swansea this month.

The club’s four star lady bowlers stepped up with Cathy Lindsay, Kerrie Cordiner, Mary Taylor and Marg Crittenden flew the flag for the Probus Club of Port Stephens and had a great day.

This active and friendly club welcomes semi and retired couples and singles to come along to a meeting on the second Thursday of the month, 9.30am at Nelson Bay Bowling Club.
