Rotary raises more than $2000 in raffle ticket sales at Festival

EVEN though there was a dramatic change in the weather during the afternoon, the Myall River Festival was a spectacular success with the Rotary Myall Coast stall inundated with generous and caring locals and visitors in support of their efforts in raising funds for the drought bound farmers.

Rotary raised more than $2,000 in ticket sales on the day with their latest major raffle offering the lucky winner a $5,000 open order on our local travel agent, Altitude Travel with the option of the prize being spent on the winner’s dream trip at one time or being spent across two or more smaller trips.

Second prize is a Smart TV with the third being a “Dinner for Two” voucher at Mumms on the Myall Seafood Restaurant.

President of Rotary, Ian McKenzie-Smith, told News Of The Area, “With only 650 tickets being sold in this raffle and the tickets being $20.00, the prizes are very tempting.

“There are still tickets on sale at the Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest Shopping Centres and at the rate at which they are being snapped up, the raffle should be drawn in time for Christmas.

Ian went on to say, “On behalf of the Rotary Club, I would like to thank everyone for their continued support of our fundraising efforts especially in the name of Drought Relief.”
