EASTER Saturday turned out to be a beautiful sunny day and the Historic Rectory Grounds at Raymond Terrace were buzzing with excitement and activity.

R & R Property held their first Community Easter Egg Hunt, which was well attended by families across Port Stephens.

Denise Haynes, Managing Director of R & R Property, told News Of The Area the day was extremely well attended.

“We knew that over 170 children were registered for the event, as parents were asked to fill out a form on our website prior to attending,” she said.

“Well the community certainly turned out and they had lots of fun,” she added.

The event was completely organised, paid for and produced by the Team at R & R Property.

Included in the day’s activities was a giant egg hunt, face painting, balloon animals, egg & spoon races, colouring in, a guessing competition and gifts.

Real live Easter bunnies Lola & Bambi were also on hand for cuddles and photos, all of which was provided complimentary by the R & R Team.

Denise said, “Initially we really had no idea whether the local community would be interested in such an event and we were certainly relieved that we made it a condition of entry that parents had to register their children, providing us with an idea of numbers attending.”

“We were happily overwhelmed with the response.”

Parents and children travelled from Medowie, Seaham, Brandy Hill, Clarence Town and Stroud plus of course Raymond Terrace to join in the family fun.

Denise has been pleased with the feedback, telling News Of The Area, “Both at the event and since it has finished, I have been inundated with parents thanking us and expressing their appreciation for our generosity and kindness.”

“We believe in giving back to our community and it was an absolute pleasure to provide this successful local event.”

“So much so, we will definitely be running it again next year,” she said.

“We would like to express our thanks to everyone who attended and made the day a success, but a special thank you must go to the Raymond Terrace Bowling Club who generously allowed us to use their beautiful rectory grounds to hold this amazing Easter event,” she added.

Denise Haynes advised that all the photographs of the event have been loaded onto their Facebook page R and R Property should you wish to view them.
