Tea Gardens Fishing Club
FIRST outing for the new year of fishing saw some impressive weigh-ins. On a beautiful spring weekend the sun was shining and there were quite a few weighed in.
Juniors saw one weigh in with Meagan Markham with 5 Luderick, 3 Bream and 1 Perch.

Ladies saw Beth Anderson with 2 Bream, Cindy McTernan with 3 good pan sized Snapper, Trish Collins with 1 Bream and Wendy Johnson with 1 Whiting. Well done ladies.
The Men’s category saw Brian Johnson with 1 Tailor and 1 Bream, Michael Groth with 1 Leatherjacket, Michael Johnson with 1 Bream, and 4 Whiting, Greg Thrift with 10 Bream and 1 Luderick, Bob Collins had 2 Bream, Bob Nash with 3 Bream and 1 Salmon, Stu Dempsey had 1 Salmon, a bag of 10 Bream, 1 Flathead and 2 Tailor, Brad Markham had 4 Luderick, 4 Bream, 1 Flathead and 1 Perch, and Bill Thrift had a bag of 10 Bream and 10 Luderick.
We finished weigh-in with a BBQ with thanks to Jeff’s Butchery for the meat and Stu Dempsey as the chef.
As this is the beginning of the new season we encourage all new people to come and join with categories comprising of sub juniors, juniors, ladies and mens.
It cost $5.00 per adult for the year and kids are free to join with the adults paying just $2.00 per person to fish at each monthly competition.
All current memberships are due now.
