A PHOTOGRAPHIC competition is one of the upcoming initiatives the Medowie Gardens Club are conducting at their Christmas in July event.

On Saturday 9 July, at the Medowie Community Centre, the photo competition will be based around five key categories which are Garden Scene; Flowers and foliage in the Garden; Wildlife in the Garden; People in the Garden and Cut Flowers and/or Foliage Arrangement.

Ann Tomlinson, who is the Secretary of the Club said, “People in Medowie and surrounding areas who love their garden should look at coming to the Club and meeting fellow gardeners.”

Ms Tomlinson said that being part of the local Garden Club is also very useful for picking up pointers and useful tips to help around the garden.

“People around Medowie may have their own tips to share with fellow members,” Ms Tomlinson told News Of The Area.

The Medowie Garden Club meets on the first Saturday each month at various members’ homes.
