THE Lions Club Woolgoolga Netball Rep season remarkably commenced despite the weather last Sunday.

Woolgoolga’s U12, U13 and U14 teams battled rain and slippery conditions at a carnival in Grafton, in a valuable hit out on their journey towards the Netball NSW Junior State Titles in June.

“It was touch and go whether the carnival would proceed but we are very glad the consensus was to stay and play,” President, Sandra Thorpe said.

“Our girls were amazing on the day and the signs are great for a successful Rep season ahead.

“Woopi Netball are so proud of them.”

The teams are scheduled to attend their next carnival in Maclean on Sunday 28 March.
