Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Surf Life Saving Club wins awards

Hunter Surf Life Saving Awards of Excellence took place recently with the Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Surf Life Saving Club  (TGHN SLSC) taking out three of the major awards.

The club, which is one of the smallest in the state, is the only club to be at Gold level in the Quality Club Program in Australia.

Those recognised individually were: Master Competitor of the year – Tony Logue.  Administrator of the year-Maxine Cook.  Assessor of the year-Deb Booth.

An amazing result and one which we should all be proud of as these are just some of our locals who volunteer their time to keep our beautiful beach safe.

We all thank the members of TGHN SLSC for their community spirit and for giving up their time to make our beach one of the safest and friendliest in the country.
