YEAR 12 students from Bulahdelah Central School are taking part in a student-teacher mentor program aimed at supporting them through their HSC studies.

As part of the program, each of the students meet regularly with a teacher they have nominated for advice and assistance. This includes managing assessment tasks, tips on revision techniques and help with developing home study programs.
As this is a student-centred program, they drive the direction of the meetings.
Some meet with their mentors several times a week, others weekly, and for some, a quick catch-up once a fortnight is all they need.
The school has 21 teachers involved in the program which runs throughout the HSC year.
Year 12 are approaching the halfway mark of their final year of school study.
This can be a stressful time, and the mentors also assist with time management and relaxation techniques.
