MidCoast Council’s destination brand ‘Barrington Coast’ is becoming more visible across the region with the roll out of six new roadside billboards set to attract plenty of attention.

The billboards appear along a 130km stretch of the Pacific Highway from the Tea Gardens turnoff in the south to Moorland in the north and replace previous signage for the former Great Lakes and Visit Manning Valley destinations.

“The Barrington Coast brand is still in its infancy and with any major brand, it’s a process to develop, introduce and establish its place in the market,” said MidCoast Council Mayor, David West.

“This is a really exciting and important part of the growth of Barrington Coast and we’re delighted with how these billboards have turned out.”

Photography on the billboards was obtained from both professional and amateur photographers and showcases the diversity of experiences the region offers, from jumping into coastal turquoise waters to playing in the snow at Barrington Tops.

“Locals know how lucky we are to live here and now with these billboards, we hope visitors will be even more curious to explore our slice of paradise,” added Mayor West.

One final billboard is to be installed south of Bulahdelah later this month.

  1. Th is does not represent The Myall Lakes Waterways or National Parks which this area is famous for.. These billboards are NOT inclusive. Barrington is inland. Tarde is too far away to be considered local council representation to The Myall Lakes. A NATIONAL PARTY PORK BARRELL.
