Every year Motorfest raises money for a number of local community organisations.
This year was no different with more than $9,500 raised from the event.
Representatives from the Pindimar/Tea Gardens Rural Fire Service, Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest Surf Life Saving Club and the Clinic Bus all gathered at the RFS to receive their donated cheques.
“All paid special thanks to the Motor Club Executive and members for their efforts in staging Motorfest 2019,” Motorfest’s Publicity Officer, Phil Hoare said.
“They were also grateful for the wonderful funds raised at the event that enabled these organisations to receive their donations.”
Also in attendance were Motor Club members who displayed a fantastic line up of some of the Clubs Members vehicles.
“There were smiles all round for the Beneficiaries especially the Clinic Bus who are now able to establish a third weekly run to Newcastle/ Maitland.”
The presentation was followed by a delicious BBQ lunch cooked up by the RFS volunteers.
Phil Hoare said, “The Motorfest Event 2019 achieved its objectives in attracting 45 NSW Motoring Clubs with 380 vehicles and motorcycles on the day.”
“The local business houses also enjoyed and benefited from the influx of visitors to the area and it is very satisfying to see the local Community also supporting the day.”
